MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN the first of his long-players with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca, the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. Mala Influencia was released in 2020 by Noriel and his Dopamina album in the same year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit single Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. In his interviews, he said music participation as mandatory. While a boy, he studied the saxophone and guitar. His initial goal was to be a veterinarian, His brother Julian convinced him to take singing lessons with a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift as a singer altered his entire life.
